This year, the challenge will take place in Compi\u00e8gne, the hometown of WYZ Group. There is something for everyone: swimming, running, cycling, or walking\u2014volunteer WYZers could choose from among these sports. They will compete in teams and relays, with one representative per sport.<\/p>\n<p>This new challenge is an excellent opportunity to bring together our German and French teams once again, as well as our partners and volunteer customers.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the focus is on perseverance, teamwork, and training. We have chosen to support the Super-H\u00e9ros au Grand C\u0153ur association throughout our triathlon events. This association works to bring moments of happiness and dreams to hospitalized, sick, or disabled children. Created by former police officers from the Raid and GIPN units, as well as healthcare workers, it has been in existence since 2022 and organizes meetings with children&#8217;s favorite heroes, offering impressive performances.<\/p>\n<p>The program for this relay and team challenge includes swimming, walking, running, and mountain biking every day from September 8 to 15, 2024, with an average of 150 km per day.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row gap=&#8221;30&#8243; content_placement=&#8221;top&#8221;][vc_column css_animation=&#8221;fadeInLeft&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;In 2023, the WYZers will compete in 3XL triathlons as a team in Spain.&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;fadeInLeft&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;fadeInLeft&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221; el_class=&#8221;texteGroupe&#8221;]They will cover 3.8 km swimming, 120 km mountain biking, and 42 km running from September 14 to 16, 2023, in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver the years, our sporting challenge has attracted more and more employees, whether they are athletes or not. This year, nearly 70% of the WYZ team has signed up for the sporting events, and this enthusiasm is a real source of satisfaction!\u201d explains Pierre Guirard, CEO and co-founder of WYZ Group<\/p>\n<p>A record number of participants is expected for the next WYZ Tri Challenge. Half of the WYZ staff was mobilized, no less than 22 people took part in this major challenge! Over 2 weeks, the teams took turns to cover the 1700 kilometers of the route.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Saturday, September 11 in Barcelona, the TOP start was launched<\/strong>. Two weeks later, on Friday 24th September, we celebrated the arrival of our cycling pros in Compi\u00e8gne with the whole WYZ Team. The training sessions, supervised as every year by our renowned coach S\u00e9bastien DESMETTRE (high level triathlete), allowed the team to meet this collective challenge!<\/p>\n<p>The WYZ Team, which remained in the office, ensuring the continuity of our activity and taking care of our customers, was not left out: it also mobilized by pedaling on a home trainer installed in the office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The goal was to take up this HR 2021 challenge together, at the office or on the road!<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column css_animation=&#8221;fadeInRight&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;11431&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;fadeIn&#8221; image_hovers=&#8221;false&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row gap=&#8221;30&#8243; content_placement=&#8221;top&#8221;][vc_column css_animation=&#8221;fadeInLeft&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;12845&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;fadeIn&#8221; image_hovers=&#8221;false&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column css_animation=&#8221;fadeIn&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;2019: the WYZ Bike Challenge&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;fadeInLeft&#8221;][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;fadeInLeft&#8221; el_class=&#8221;texteGroupe&#8221;]<strong>Our goal was to cross France by mountain bike, in relays and in 14 stages. Starting in Lille and ending in Nice, the WYZ cyclists succeeded in covering a total of nearly 1,650 kilometers!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After 10 months of bi-weekly training, each participant was able to complete several stages in relays, each with an average of 120 kilometers! They were also able to discover local specialties and breathtaking landscapes.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, customers, suppliers and partners had the opportunity to accompany us on certain stages &#8211; under medical supervision, of course!<\/p>\n<p>To prepare for this challenge, all WYZ Group members who chose to participate (50% of the total workforce) started ten months of bi-weekly training (one collective session and one individual session).<\/p>\n<p>Go to the news page to discover the articles about our adventure! This first leg of the triathlon \u201cmade by WYZ\u201d was to swim to Quiberon in Belle-\u00cele-en-Mer, which involved 15 km at sea and a crossing of 6 hours 15 minutes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The 17 employees participating<\/strong>\u00a0in this challenge were divided into\u00a0<strong>3 teams<\/strong>\u00a0and received the support of two captains of choice: \u00a0the open water swimming champions, Aur\u00e9lie Muller and Marc-Antoine Olivier.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On the coaching side, this epic event would not have been possible without two outstanding coaches:\u00a0<strong>St\u00e9phane Lecat<\/strong>, Director of Development and Team France in open water swimming, and\u00a0<strong>S\u00e9bastien Desmettre<\/strong>, former high-level triathlete and now talented coach.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI\u2019ve trained young people who had the ambition to win, and I found that same state of mind at WYZ Group.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>S\u00e9bastien Desmettre[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row gap=&#8221;30&#8243; content_placement=&#8221;top&#8221;][vc_column css_animation=&#8221;fadeIn&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;fadeInRight&#8221; el_class=&#8221;texteGroupe&#8221;]<strong>The patron of our challenge was\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.philippecroizon.com\/\"><strong>Philippe Croizon<\/strong><\/a>, the great figure of the disabled sport world. He was there to talk about his past success, but also to advise and support our team in this great adventure.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A former worker, Philippe Croizon became an athlete as a challenge after a serious accident resulted in him having all four legs and arms amputated.\u00a0<strong>Despite his handicap, he has multiple sporting achievements:<\/strong>\u00a0he swam across the English Channel in\u00a0September 2010, and swam four straits separating five continents over 100 days in August 2012. He also took part in the Dakar Rally in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Frequently asked to speak about his disability and achievements, he also engages in activities as a columnist in various media and as a speaker for corporate events.
